The Beltronics Vector 965 is a step below the Vector 995, but is still a high quality radar detector. New features include a digital "POP" Alert (radar guns that utilize POP mode work by shooting short pulses of energy), Voice Alerts, and Digital Signal Processing (which minimizes false alarms). Beltronics' patented AutoScan feature continuously analyzes all incoming signals and automatically rejects unwanted false alarms, while the Total Tracking Lase circuitry continually searches for laser guns. The standard bar graph display provides band and relative signal strength for radar and laser signals. This model lacks the Ku band detection of the Bel 995, and is most similar to the Bel RX55 and Escort's 7500 model - each has its own minor advantages and drawbacks, but the core functionality is quite similar.
