Beltronics's new Vector 995 is the top of Bel's Vector Series. With 10 times the sensitivity of any imported radar detector and a microprocessor that can detect and process a signal in less than one second, this is a high end radar detector that could be compared to Escort's extremely popular 8500 X50. Beltronics' patented AutoScan feature continuously analyzes all incoming signals and automatically rejects unwanted false alarms. Using the latest technology in "flash" microprocessors, the Vector 995's software is upgradable, allowing it to evolve along with changing speed measurement technology.

The Vector 995 allows the user to choose between extra loud tones (for alerts audible even in noisy environments), or quieter and easy to understand digital voice alerts. There are also four levels of brightness to choose from, including a full dark mode for discreet night travel, and three levels of City mode filters. Exclusive Shadow Technology will keep you from being picked up by VG2 ("radar detector detectors"). The Bel 995 also features digital POP alert (radar guns that utilize POP mode work by shooting short pulses of energy which can be difficult for radar detectors to pick up).

Over all, this is a high-end detector with a great array of features. The one feature that really sets the Vector 995 apart from the crowd, however, is the selectable Ku-band - this rare capability is a must for European travel, and is not found in the Escort 8500 X50 or the Vector 965.
