Whistler's new remote Pro3450 features a full range of detection, including the ability to pick up the new POP-mode radar guns. Built into your vehicle, it provides 360 degree protection from radar and laser. The display unit can be mounted on or beneath your dash. Standout features include the brilliant blue LED display (with upside down and vertical display options), "Stay Awake" mode (which periodically sounds an alarm), and the three highly sensitive city modes, which cut down false alarms considerably.
The Whistler 3450 is the only remote in its price class to offer voice alerts (with the optional Voice Module) - this is a key feature to note, since the main reason someone buys a remote system is usually to have their radar detection system hidden from sight. However, it's often difficult to keep an eye on the display screen once you have it hidden away in your dash - voice alerts solve this problem neatly, allowing your eyes to stay on the road where they belong.
"A thoroughly refined, comprehensively equipped detector with some enticing, unique features. With its well-rounded performance and attractive price-to-value ratio, it's really in a class by itself. Which, from Whistler's perspective, is probably the point of the whole exercise." - RadarTest.com
Pro3450 Voice Module
The optional Voice Module add-on for the Whistler 3450 provides Real Voice Alerts, allowing you to keep your eyes on the road while staying fully informed of any alerts. This feature is widely used by those using the custom-installed 3450, since the rationale for buying a remote-style detector is usually its concealability - once you've carefully tucked the display away in your dash, it can be difficult to see without taking your eyes off the road. With the 3450 Voice Module plugged-in, you get a powerful remote speaker that supplies a real human voice to identify threats, announce safety radar messages, and confirm your feature selections. The quality of the voice is top-notch - a real human, rather than a synthesized, hard-to-understand computer voice.
