The Whistler Pro73 is the top of Whistler's line, and includes plenty of the high-end functionality that careful drivers look for in a radar detector, such as:

Whistler Pro58 vs Pro73
There are two key differences between these models - the display and the audio alerts. The Pro58 has a symbol-based 7-segment display, while the Pro73 offers an easier-to read text display, in intense blue letters. The Pro73 also features superior audio alerts - while the Pro58 relies on various chirps and whistles to warn you of alerts, the Pro73 employs easy to understand Real Voice alerts. If you're comfortable "decoding" symbols and sounds on the fly, the Pro58 is a great option - however, if you'd rather just be told what the alerts are, in plain text or spoken words, then the Pro73 will probably be worth the extra money.
